  • ANU PGCET which is also known as Acharya Nagarjuna University Common Entrance test is a gateway for admissions to the post-graduation courses offered at Acharya Nagarjuna University and its affiliated colleges in the state.
  • Acharya Nagarjuna University - Guntur conducts ANUPGCET 2021 entrance exam for admission to various Post Graduate courses in the fields of Sciences, Humanities & Social Science, Commerce, Education & Teaching, Languages and other PG Diploma courses.
  • ANU PGCET does not apply to PG Diploma and Certificate courses.

Application Details

Guidelines to make a note while filling the ANUPGCET 2022 application form :

  • The Online Application will be available on the official website.
  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of the prospectus/instructions to fill the online application from for ANUPGCET 2020. It is to be done before proceeding to fill the application form.
  • When filling the application form, be ready by keeping all the Certificates, Soft Copies of Scanned Photo and Signature.
  • The payment of registration and processing fee (500/- +Bank Comission per Test) should be made either by SBI generated challan or by online payment gateway (like Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking). Bank Charges will be applicable as per the payment option selected by you.
  • E-challan is generated after submitting the personal details through Online Payment.
  • The fee paid by the applicant is Non-Refundable.
  • The system generated application number is displayed for further reference.

How to fill the ANUPGCET 2022 application form ?

  • When you fill Online Application, you should have the following necessities with you :
    • Your Mobile Phone.
    • ANUPGCET - 2022 Information Brochure.
    • Your documents pertaining to your personal details and academic records.
    • Softcopy of scanned passport photo and signature.
  • Open the website and click on the link appearing as Click here to register for ANUPGCET - 2022 Online Application.
  • After clicking the required link, you will get a detailed menu options screen.
  • Before proceeding to fill the ANUPGCET 2022 application form, please download and read the Admission Information Brochure.
  • Click on Online Registration button appearing on top menu.
  • Select the Test Name(s) you to appear, degree passed/appearing and fill the required details with elective subjects, then you will find the list of eligible and not-eligible courses.
  • Then proceed to fill the Name and other personal details with present address and date of birth. Please fill the details as per SSC or equivalent certificate.
  • While entering the personal details, please give your correct MOBILE number and EMAIL address, because all the correspondence from Admission Authority (DOA) will be made to Mobile and Email only, No postal correspondence will be made under any circumstances.
  • After completion of registration details entry, your Mobile will receive SMS of a Security Code, please type the Security Code in the box provided in the Registration Form and immediately your screen will display a message as "VERIFIED" in green color.
  • Then click "Register & Proceed" button for filling the application with all academic and other details along with scanned Passport Photo and Scanned Signature (signed on white paper only).
  • Fill the entire Academic, Study, Reservation and other Personal Details and submit the application. Select the terms and conditions box, click the preview button. Now it displays the application preview.
  • There it gives two buttons one for "Back-To-Edit" for editing any mistakes done by you, save and print for continuing the application. Now it generates the Acknowledgement Receipt, Take the printout and pay the fee by online using SBI Collect.
  • After payment of fee in bank, you will get a mail with all the details submitted by online as a PDF file.
  • You have to take a printout of the same and retain the same until completion of admission.
  • Fee Payment Process : Click on Online Payment button. Now click on Online Payment through SBI Collect button. Read the instructions and click checkbox to proceed payment and click the proceed button.

After ANU PGCET, the experts have studied the question paper and offered comments to motivate the test takers.

Life Sciences : Questions have been raised on chromosomes, mitosis, nucleosome, meiosis, genotype, DNA, genes, bacteria, cells, nutrients, greenhouse effect, vegetation, minerals, ecosystem, hormones, vitamins, carbohydrates, glands, anemia, human nutrition, vaccines, energy, aquatic life, antibodies, etc. The questions are at the level of graduation; as such candidates generally consider this paper as moderate.

Physical Sciences : Questions have been raised on molecules, thermal conductivity, entropy, oscillation, gases, protons and electrons, refraction, optics, light, diffraction, wavelength, polarization, inversion, momentum, inertia, velocity, energy, mechanics, sound, force, electricity, magnetism, spectrum, etc. The questions are at the level of graduation; as such candidates generally consider this paper as moderate.

Mathematical Sciences : Questions have been raised on sets, rationals, limits, linear equations, circles, trigonometry, graphs, distance, sphere, angles, triangles, trajectories, integers, matrices, differential equations, derivatives, rings, permutation, binary operations, vectors, etc. Questions relating to mathematical science have been focused only on domain subjects. As such, candidates might not face difficulty to score decent marks as stipulated by the examination conducting authority.

Chemical Sciences : Questions have been raised on acids, chemotherapy, electronic absorption, periodic elements, chemical compounds, electronic configuration, carbons, nitrogen, ionization, noble gases, oxidation, metals, bases, chemical reactions, acetates, salts, radicle, organic chemistry, isomers, alcohols, boiling point, endothermic reaction, chemical equations, crystallization, miscibility, aqueous solutions, catalysts, radiation, freezing point, reversible reaction, infrared, electron density, polymers, molecules, etc. Questions on chemical sciences have been reflected only on the domain subject. Therefore candidates might consider this question paper as easy.

Statistics : Questions have been raised on median value, frequency distribution, deviation, venn diagrams, probability, sets, mode, correlated coefficients, mean, parameters, variances, data, hypothesis, distribution, sufficient estimator, normal distribution, random sample, random variables, randomization, ratios, statistical model, factorial experiment, index number, quantity index, time series, vital statistics, etc. The questions on statistics have been on the subjects which have been studied by the candidates at the level of their graduation. Generally students might not face any problem as most of the questions are at the moderate level.

Geology : Questions have been raised on fossils, spirifers, dinosaurs, time periods, eras, calcareous plants, invertebrate paleontology, suture lines, lamellibranches, chronstratigraphic units, quartzite, geological formations, civilizations, residual deposits, sands, tungsten, silt, volcanoes, rocks, sedimentation, phosphates, metamorphism, strata, mineralization, silification, erosion, canyons, continental drift, topography, tsunamis, oceans, earthquakes, etc. The questions on geology are on the basis of the syllabus in the domain subject at the graduation. Normally, the level of the question paper is moderate. Hence candidates might score decent marks in the subject.

Integrated M.Sc courses : Questions have been raised on different topics of physics, chemistry and mathematics at the level of 11th and 12th standard. The questions for integrated M.Sc course have been asked on PCM. Questions on Physics are normally the level of difficulty while the questions on Chemistry and Mathematics are at moderate level.


  • Candidates can download their Rank Cards and Schedule of Counseling from the website www.anudoa.in / www.anu.ac.in.
  • The above material is uploaded to the website and it will also be informed to the candidates through SMS / E-mail.
  • If any candidate fails to report to the allotting authority (Director, Directorate of Admissions) when his / her Rank / Name is announced, he/she will be considered for allotment at the end of that Session, subject to availability of seats and no explanation for the delay in reporting to the allotting authority will be entertained.
  • Candidate needs to pay Processing Fee and Prescribed Admissions Fee at the time of counselling in single installment failing which he/she has to forfeit his / her Seat.
  • Duly filled in declaration form given in Annexure - B (which is provided in information brochure) and should submit at the counselling.
  • A candidate once allotted to a college can avail transfer of college by paying Rs.300/- for the first time and only one more transfer is allowed by paying Rs.500/- subject to availability of seats and no more transfers are allowed.
  • A candidate once opted for a course and allotted will be allowed to change the course which he/she already opted, subject to availability of seats on payment of Rs.300/- for the first time and on payment of Rs.500/- for the second and final time. The change, of course, is limited to the entrance test he/she attempted.
  • For the purpose of reimbursement of fee, the Income certificate is invariably to be issued by M.R.O.
  • If the Original Certificates are not submitted at the time of counselling he/she has to pay a total prescribed fee on par with the candidates of other categories and no concession will be allowed by the allotting authority.
  • The income certificate of the parent/guardian issued by M.R.O. is valid if it is issued within six months from the date of counselling.
  • The Fee Reimbursement is limited to the extent of Rs.20, 000/- only (vide G.O. M.S. 56, S.W. Edn.-2. Dept dated 6.10.2003) and if the fee is over and above Rs.20,000/- the remaining amount has to be paid at the time of counselling failing which he/she has to forfeit the seat.
  • All the candidates who have been admitted into the PG Courses of ANU and entitled for Fee Reimbursement of Rs.20,000/- shall pay Rs.100/- additionally.

Documents required at the time of Counselling :

  • ANU PGCET - Application, Admit Card.
  • ANU PGCET - Rank Card.
  • Transfer Certificate & Conduct Certificate from the college last studied.
  • Degree Provisional Certificate / Original Degree.
  • Degree Mark Memos of Three Years.
  • Reserved Category / Permanent Caste Certificate issued from Mee Seva (for SC, ST and BC Candidates if reservation is claimed).
  • S.C / Date of Birth Certificate.
  • Intermediate or equivalent Certificate.
  • Income Certificate issued from Mee Seva (if fee concession is claimed).
  • Study Certificates (from 9th Class to Degree final year) / Residence Certificate of last Seven Academic Years (from Mee Seva) / Form-I or II or III or IV as given in Annexure - A (which is provided in information brochure) pertaining to claim of Local Candidate.
  • Copy of the Relevant Certificates issued from concerned authorities if Special Reservation is claimed under PH/ NCC/ SPORTS/ CAP.
  • Migration Certificate (Student studied other than Acharya Nagarjuna University).
  • Declaration form as given in Annexure-B (which is provided in information brochure).
  • Two sets Xerox copies of above mentioned certificates and Two Passport size photos.

Note : No Candidate will be allowed into the Counseling Hall without Provisional Certificate (P.C) and Transfer Certificate (T.C). Candidates who are appeared and qualified in ANU PGCET, they alone are eligible for Fee Reimbursement provided, they fulfill all other conditions of Govt. of AP Rules for Reimbursement

B Sc (Any Science Graduate) Note: Preference for Admission is given to Geology students.

General Eligibility as per reservations :

  • Admission to various courses of study offered at ANU will be made on the basis of merit and are subjected to the following criteria of reservations.

Local Candidates : 

  • 85% of the available seats in each category in each of the course are reserved in favor of the local candidates belonging to the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam.
  • Candidates claiming reservation under this category shall enclose appropriate attested Form I or II or III or IV given Annexure-A. The attested copy of the certificate shall be required at the time of counseling.
  • The allotment of seats under this category will be done as per :“G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education Department".

Statutory Reservations : 

  • Candidates belonging to the mentioned categories shall submit their original Caste certificate as issued by M.R.O. :

National Integration :

  • One Extra Seat in each subject is reserved for the students belonging to Other States (Other than Telangana as students of Telangana will be considered as Non-Local).
  • Note : Candidates claiming Other Category Reservations are required to submit relevant certificates at the time of counseling. Physically Handicapped candidates should submit the certificate of their disability issued by the concerned specialist government doctor (Professor’s rank) / Medical Board.
  • For implementation of reservations in each subject, A.N.U. College and A.N.U.P.G. Centre are taken as one unit and all the affiliated colleges as one single unit.
  • For claiming admission under N.C.C and Sports quota the candidates should submit relevant Certificates. The candidates claiming seats under the category of CAP need to produce.
  • Certificate from Zilla Sainik welfare Officer for whose parent(s) are Ex-Service Men.
  • Service Certificate for whose parent(s) are still in service.
  • Cut-off is basically the minimum number of marks the applicant requires to be eligible for the admission process.
  • Cut-off is released along with the rank card so as to inform candidates of their eligibility.
  • Cut-off score depends on the following factors :
    • Difficulty level of exam.
    • Availability of seats.
    • Number of applicants.
  • Based on the cut-off score, examination authority prepares the merit list and candidates are called for counselling.
  • Candidates must download their rank card to be brought along at the time of counselling.
  • The candidates will make their choices of test centers at the time of online application submissions.
  • They are requested to mention the center code and name of the choice in their application form.
  • Candidates applying to appear for more than one tests are advised to opt for same test centers otherwise the dates of both the tests may clash.   
  • The final decision of allotment of the test centers will be taken by the Directorate of Admissions, Acharya Nagarjuna University. 
  • Acharya Nagarjuna University will conduct ANUPGCET 2021 at three of their test centers in the state of Andhra Pradesh.  




  • ANUPGCET results will be declared online on the official website of the institute.
  • Admissions authority at Acharya Nagarjuna University is responsible for the release of ANUPGCET results. 
  • The University will also release a merit list of qualified candidates in ANUPGCET.
  • The Order of merit will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in the Entrance Test.
  • In case of tie, it will be resolved on the basis of percentage of obtained in the Qualifying Examination, further tie will be resolved based on marks obtained in the Group subjects of the qualifying examination.
  • Still, tie persists it will be resolved on the basis of date of birth in favor of older candidates.
  • Admission will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance test and weightage of marks for sports achievements.

How to check ANUPCGET 2021 results ?

  • Go to the official ANUPCGET Results 2022 page.
  • A direct link will be placed on the screen.
  • Click on the link, and type the application number and date of birth.
  • The results page will be displayed.
  • Save the result for future reference.
  • Click on Check/download result.
  • Check and download ANUPCGET 2022 result; you will get your scores obtained in the entrance test.
  • Candidates can also check/download their score card of ANUPGCET 2022 by logging in with their application number.
Admit Card
  • Admit cards will be made available for downloads on the official website.
  • Candidates can download their admit cards using their relevant credentials for login.
  • Candidates are advised to take the print of their ANU PGCET 2022 admit cards and preserve for future reference.
