prof. Saroj Sharma, Chairperson, National Institute of Open Schooling took part as a Keynote Speaker for the Summit. Mrs. Sharma addressed the summit and talked about the achievements of NIOS and the effects of New Education Policy 2020. The summit was to discuss the scope, opportunities, and technological innovations in the rapidly evolving education sector. It is expressed that after 34 years, the country could have New Education Policy 2020 which focuses on Access, Equity, Quality, Skill Development, and Value Education.
The good practices of NIOS especially in Vocational education, Skill development programs, Digital platforms for all the learners, and inclusive education have been discussed. The keynote speaker said that The National Institute of Open Schooling was awarded the prestigious UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize in 2021 for the proactive and continuous efforts of NIOS in the domain of Indian Sign Language. The Education summit was jointly organized by Telangana Collegiate Education and Technical Education Department, Elets Techno media, and Digital Learning magazine.
