NEP 2020 Transform Education

C Ashwath Narayan, minister of higher education in his convocational address said that knowledge, skill, and value-based education are the key to success in the 21st century.

KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), deemed to be a university, organized its 12th annual convocation on the campus Belagavi on Wednesday, 3rd Aug 2022. C Ashwath Narayan, minister of higher education, conferred gold medals and certificates to students of different branches, in the presence of Prabhakar Kore, the chancellor of KAHER. The minister in his convocational address said that knowledge, skill, and value-based education are the key to success in the 21st century.  The minister also admitted that education has undergone a paradigm shift, to cater to the needs of students with diverse talents, aspirations, and professional requirements. Higher education particularly in health science education and health science could register a rapid metamorphosis. The important achievements he highlighted include:

  1. Karnataka state became the first state in the country to develop an implementation framework to realize the vision and goals of the National Education Policy-2020. 
  2. Madhya Pradesh is the second state to implement the policy in the higher education 
  3. The higher education department has implemented the education policy from the academic year 2021-22.
  4. NEP-2020 envisions a complete overhaul and re-energizing of the higher education system. 
  5. The new education policy is going to bring a sea change in the horizon of education in the country
